SEANI – Southeast Asian Network Ireland is proud to support our member organisation, the Cambodian Community in Ireland, as they host ReStyle Runway 2026 – Sustainable Fashion Show in support of the Hope Cancer Support Centre.

All ambassadors, diplomatic representatives, distinguished guest speakers, SEANI Executive Committee members and Southeast Asian community leaders stood together to perform the ASEAN Hand Unity gesture—a powerful symbol of friendship, solidarity, cooperation and mutual respect among our nations.
This meaningful moment reflected the shared commitment of Southeast Asian countries and Ireland to building stronger diplomatic, cultural and community connections.
Together, we celebrate our shared Southeast Asian identity while proudly honouring the unique heritage, culture and traditions of every nation.

SEANI and community leaders from Indonesian Irish Association (IIA), Seani Indonesia, FIMUS Philippines, and the Cambodian, Thailand Ireland Association, Seani Myanmar, Seani Malaysian and Perempuan Berkebaya Indonesia Eropa Ireland & NI communities attended the ASEAN Day Celebration hosted by H.E. Ambassador Daniel R. Espiritu at the Philippine Embassy in Dublin.

Representatives from the Indonesian Irish Association (IIA), Indonesian Professionals Association (IPA), Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI), and the South East Asian Network Ireland (SEANI) held a constructive meeting with the Irish Chamber to explore opportunities for collaboration and joint initiatives in 2027.
The discussion focused on strengthening partnerships, supporting community engagement, fostering cultural exchange, and creating opportunities that will benefit both the Indonesian and wider Irish communities.
Together, we hope to build meaningful initiatives that promote friendship, business, education, culture, and community connections between Indonesia and Ireland.

Miss & Mrs Cross Continent 2026

The Miss & Mrs Cross Continent 2026 beauty pageant was enriched by a stunning cultural performance from Sanggar Tari Indonesia, showcasing the beauty, elegance, and diversity of Indonesia's traditional dance.

We are also proud to celebrate the achievement of Yuki Yuliatin from Indonesia, who was crowned Runner-Up at the Miss & Mrs Cross Continent 2026 competition. Her success is a wonderful representation of Indonesian talent, grace, and cultural pride on the international stage.

SEANI's commitment to promoting cultural diversity, inclusion, and community engagement helped make this celebration of international friendship and cultural exchange a great success.

Philippine Independence Day 2026

The Indonesia Irish Association (IIA), as a proud member of the SEANI (SouthEast Asean Network Ireland) is delighted to participate in the Philippine Independence Celebration Series 2026, organized by the Filipino Multicultural Society Ireland with the support of the Philippine Embassy in Dublin and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.
We are especially pleased to support the Yoga (Balinese Touch) session presented by Yuki Fragariani, member of Indonesian Irish Association & Perempuan Berkebaya Indonesia Eropa, taking place on Sunday, 5 July 2026, at 11:00 AM at Eblana Club, Dún Laoghaire.
This unique wellness experience combines the calming principles of yoga with the graceful cultural influences of Bali, promoting health, mindfulness, and intercultural connection within our diverse community.
We look forward to celebrating friendship, culture, and unity with our Filipino, Indonesian, Irish, and multicultural communities throughout this exciting series of events. #seani #indoirish

Philippine 128th Independence Day

Indonesian Community Attends 128th Philippine Independence Day Celebration.

Members of the Indonesian community in Ireland, represented through SEANI (SouthEast Asean Network Ireland), were honoured to attend the opening celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day in Dublin.

The event brought together diplomatic representatives, community leaders, and multicultural organisations in a spirit of friendship and cultural exchange.

We extend our warmest congratulations to the Filipino community and sincere appreciation to FIMUS (Filipino-Irish Multicultural Society) for successfully organising this wonderful celebration. Your dedication continues to strengthen multicultural unity and community spirit in Ireland.

57th Asean Day Celebration 2024

IIA & PBI Eropa Ireland & Northern Ireland attending The 57th ASEAN Day celebration in Dublin, held on 8 August 2024, was hosted by the Embassy of Malaysia under the leadership of His Excellency Wan Aznainizam Yusri Wan Abdul Rashid, the Ambassador of Malaysia to Ireland. The event featured an ASEAN Flag Raising Ceremony and a reception at the Malaysian Embassy, attended by officials from the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs, representatives of diplomatic missions, and other distinguished guests.

As the only ASEAN country with a diplomatic mission in Ireland, Malaysia plays a pivotal role in representing ASEAN's interests in the region. Ambassador Wan expressed optimism that Malaysia's upcoming ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025 would further strengthen these efforts and enhance collaboration among member states.

The celebration also showcased Malaysian culture through a selection of traditional cuisines, offering guests a taste of the nation's rich culinary heritage. The event served as a platform to reinforce diplomatic ties and promote cultural exchange between ASEAN countries and Ireland.

Though SEANI is new, our mission is clear: to celebrate, connect, and unite ASEAN communities, while fostering meaningful relationships with Irish society and beyond.

SEANI Asian Community

We would like to share the good news about the official launch of SEANI – Southeast Asian Network Ireland, a community initiative aimed at celebrating Southeast Asian culture and building strong connections within the Irish community.

We are proud to inform you that Indonesia is actively participating in SEANI, represented by Irene Murphy (Indonesia) who serves as Secretary in the founding team and Linda O'Mahony as Country Lead Indonesia.

SEANI consists of representatives from the Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar and Indonesia, and works closely with Irish and international communities.

SEANI is built on three main pillars:

  • Celebrate: Celebrating the rich culture, traditions, and creativity of Southeast Asia

  • Connect: Connecting communities through events, dialogue, and shared experiences

  • Unite: Strengthening ties between Southeast Asian communities, Irish society and the international community
